We think the promised warmer weather coming up calls for a taste of New Orleans flavor! This week at Stanford Grill, we are featuring our spin on the classic Shrimp & Grits dish that is served regularly in New Orleans restaurants from breakfast to dinner.

With smoky Andouille sausage, jumbo shrimp, aromatic vegetables, blackening seasoning and fresh tomato, all resting in creamy white grits, this dish sticks to its Creole roots. Let us transport you to Louisiana with this mouth-watering dish, available at Stanford Grill until Sunday!

At Copper Canyon Grill, we love putting a spin on classic dishes to take them to the higher level that we have come to be known for. The chicken breast is breaded with basil crackers, and then topped with beefsteak tomato, Monterey Jack Cheese, and kale tossed in chile-lime vinaigrette. As spring and summer approach, we all aspire to eat a little healthier. But why sacrifice flavor in your search for nutrition? This week at Glenarden & Gaithersburg, we are featuring a Kale Chicken Caesar Salad that offers sustenance AND taste! Chopped kale is tossed in our creamy housemade caesar dressing, fresh French bread croutons, grated parmesan cheese and topped with a chicken breast that has been pounded out thin, dredged in panko, and pan-seared to golden brown perfection. With fresh ingredients that your body naturally craves, this kale salad is sure to please!

We all know that kale is the health-food fad of the day, but what else do we know about this dark green leafy vegetable? Here are a few facts about the ever-popular kale:

  • One serving of kale has more calcium than a small carton of milk and, gram for gram, more than twice the the amount of Vitamin C as an orange.
  • Kale was popular in Europe during Roman times and the Middle Ages, not arriving in the US until the 17th century.
  • The same nutrient that gives kale its trademark color, lutein, promotes healthy eyes and vision.
  • When grown in cold weather, kale grows a higher sugar content, making it taste better.

Can you believe we are already into March? It seems as though we were just celebrating the New Year, and now here we are looking forward to spring. While the cool weather slowly gives way to sunshine, we at Stanford Grill will continue to create a warm and friendly place to bring the whole family, right down to the flavorful and decadent entrees.

This week at Stanford Grill, we’re featuring Prime Rib with mashed potatoes, expertly seasoned and roasted to a perfect medium rare, served with au jus and horseradish cream sauce.
