Your Stories

This week we asked you, our guests and friends, to tell us what Copper Canyon Grill and Stanford Grill mean to you. Everyone who told us their story was entered to win a $50 gift card to our restaurants, and we were overwhelmed with the amazing response! We care deeply about the experience you get when joining us for a meal, from the greeting you get when you walk in the door all the way to your dessert, so it’s very important to us to hear from you about your personal experiences. A big thank you to all who entered and shared with us!

We will be sharing more of these stories in the coming weeks, but today are sharing thoughts from our two winners. Lisa had the following to say about what Copper Canyon Grill means to her:

“Dining at Copper Canyon has become a weekly family ritual, where we create memories, share stories and experience the love of friends and family. The servers have even become our extended family that share in our happy time together.”

We love hearing that our family has become part of Lisa’s family. Amanda had similar thoughts about Stanford Grill:

“Stanford Grill in Columbia was the first place in MD that felt like ‘our place’. We started going as an engaged couple. We have celebrated every major milestone in those walls-marriage, jobs, friends, babies, birthdays, date nights…It was the first place we took our new born son, the place we always recommend, and continues to be our first choice for every get together. Thank you for creating such a fantastic atmosphere, and for giving us a ‘place’.”

Battle of the Bartenders Winner

And we have a winner!

It was a close competition, but the winner of our #WorldBartenderDay Battle of the Bartenders is Summer from Copper Canyon Grill Silver Spring! Summer mixed up a refreshing and beautiful tequila cocktail called the Ancho Average Anejo to wow the crowd & take home the prize. Didn’t make it to the battle? Summer’s winning cocktail will be featured at all locations for the month of March, so come on by!

Ancho Average Anejo:

1 & 1/4 oz Milagro Anejo Tequila

1/4 oz Blood Orange Liqueur

3/4 oz Ancho Chile Liqueur

Half an orange, squeezed

1 dash orange bitters

1/4 oz Agave nectar

Shake & strain into glass. Salt rim with orange peel for garnish. Enjoy!

The Battle of the Bartenders is here! The Stanford Grill bartenders have challenged the Copper Canyon Grill bartenders to a battle for the best tequila cocktail and you’re invited to see the showdown!

What better day to start the battle than on World Bartender Day? It’s all going down on February 24th at 6:30pm at Stanford Grill Rockville in the bar. With $5 drinks, free appetizers, and a bonus $10 loaded on all Woodfire Club member cards, it’s going to be a great time! February is American Heart Month and we have partnered with Adventist HealthCare to bring you a Heart Healthy menu to help you love your your heart. All this month, join us at our Gaithersburg and Silver Spring locations to try light, fresh plates like our Seared Ahi Tuna Salad with fresh field greens, mango, avocado, red peppers, and red onions with honey sesame vinaigrette on the side and pickled ginger and wasabi for garnish.

Our Heart Healthy menu has classic Copper Canyon Grill dishes like our famous Wood-Fired Rotisserie Chicken as well as new favorites like our Santa Fe Chicken Soup ladled over southwestern flavored basmati rice and loaded with vegetables, including zucchini, beef steak tomato, avocado and fresh cilantro with a squeeze of fresh lime. New Year’s Eve & Double Point Days

What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

Ring in the new year with us at our Copper Canyon Grill Silver Spring location! We are celebrating ‪New Year’s Eve with extended hours until 1 am, a champagne toast at midnight, drink specials, and our famous New Year’s menu! All other locations will be open with normal hours, so you can join us for drinks and dinner before the festivities as well.

New year, more points! In honor of the New Year‬, we are also celebrating with Double Point Days for all of our Woodfire Club members – just visit any of our locations on 12/31/15 & 1/1/16 and receive double points towards your purchases!
